The Philippine consumer sector contains firms with different operating models, financing requirements, and exposures to changes in input costs and consumer demand. This study comparatively examined the financial and stock-market characteristics of 16 selected publicly listed Philippine consumer-sector firms using secondary corporate and market information. A descriptive-comparative design integrated market capitalization, earnings per share, valuation multiples, dividend yields, profitability, liquidity, leverage, reported price returns, trading activity, and technical indicators. The consolidated market comparison was dated September 3, 2026, while company-level observations covered varying accounting and market windows. Findings showed substantial differences in financial resilience and market behavior. Ginebra San Miguel and Victorias Milling combined positive operating conditions with comparatively strong liquidity and low leverage, whereas Alliance Select Foods, Roxas Holdings, and Vitarich exhibited combinations of earnings weakness, liquidity pressure, or elevated leverage. Strong operating performance did not consistently coincide with positive price returns, as illustrated by San Miguel Food and Beverage, Ginebra San Miguel, and Jollibee Foods. RFM recorded positive returns across its reported year-to-date, one-year, and three-year horizons. High dividend yields likewise coexisted with different earnings and price-performance profiles. Technical indicators frequently diverged from financial fundamentals. The findings support a firm-specific, multi-indicator approach that distinguishes profitability, valuation, balance-sheet resilience, shareholder distributions, and market behavior. Interpretation remains limited by the selected firms, differing observation windows, and unresolved inconsistencies in the underlying market records.
