Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Submissions considered to be a good fit will proceed to peer review prior to an editorial decision.

Peer Review Model
IJBeSA uses a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are typically evaluated by two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions may include acceptminor revisionmajor revision, or reject. Where necessary, the Editor may request additional review or editorial assessment.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents, instruments, and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author.

Ethics and Consent
Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study’s country. Studies involving human participants, sensitive personal data, or identifiable information should clearly state the ethics approval body (and approval/reference number where available) and summarize informed consent procedures.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper.

Originality and Similarity Screening
All submissions may undergo originality checks (including similarity screening) as part of the editorial assessment. Manuscripts with unacceptable text overlap, inadequate attribution, or evidence of unethical publication practices may be desk rejected or returned for correction prior to peer review.

Use of AI Tools (Disclosure Required)
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language editing or formatting support, provided that authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work. Any AI use that materially affects the manuscript (e.g., drafting substantial text, generating analyses, or producing figures/tables) must be disclosed in the manuscript. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

When you are satisfied that your submission meets these standards, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Publication Fees
The International Journal of Behavioral and Social Analytics (IJBeSA) is an open-access journal. To sustain editorial operations, DOI registration, and web hosting, a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after acceptance. Payment instructions will be included in the acceptance letter.
