Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of Frontier Science and Futures (FSF) and the journal’s standards of scholarly quality, clarity, and analytical rigor. Submissions considered to be a good fit will proceed to peer review prior to an editorial decision.

Peer Review Model
FSF uses a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are typically evaluated by two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions may include accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Where necessary, the Editor may request additional review or editorial assessment.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as images, documents, instruments, tables, datasets, or reproduced figures. All authors named on the submission must consent to authorship and must have made an appropriate scholarly contribution.

Ethics and Consent
Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal and institutional requirements of the study’s country. Studies involving human participants, sensitive personal data, or identifiable information should clearly state the ethics approval body (and approval/reference number where available) and summarize the informed consent procedures followed.

FSF also welcomes conceptual, theoretical, review-based, and non-empirical papers. Authors must therefore ensure that the nature of the manuscript is represented honestly and that the paper clearly distinguishes among evidence, interpretation, inference, and speculation.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the manuscript is well structured, the argument is clearly articulated, and the title and abstract accurately represent the work. This will increase the likelihood of the manuscript being sent for review.

Originality and Similarity Screening
All submissions may undergo originality checks, including similarity screening, as part of the editorial assessment. Manuscripts with unacceptable text overlap, inadequate attribution, fabricated or misleading content, or evidence of unethical publication practices may be desk rejected or returned for correction prior to peer review.

Use of AI Tools (Disclosure Required)
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language editing, formatting, or limited technical support, provided that authors retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work. Any AI use that materially affects the manuscript, including the drafting of substantial text, generation of analyses, or production of figures or tables, must be disclosed in the manuscript. AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Publication Fees
Frontier Science and Futures (FSF) is an open-access journal. To sustain editorial operations, DOI registration, and digital publishing infrastructure, a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after acceptance. No fee is required upon submission.
